Privacy policy

Hummingword is an app for families, made by Big Ice Cube LLC ("we"). The short version: we don't collect personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics in the app.

What stays on your device

Your favorites, the card level you choose and your settings are stored only on your device. We can't see them.

Downloading songs

Some songs are downloaded from our content server, run on Cloudflare. As with any download, the server receives technical information such as your device's IP address so it can deliver the file. We don't use this to identify you, and we don't combine it with anything else.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and handled by Apple. We never see your name, email or payment details. To unlock subscriber songs, the app sends our server Apple's signed proof of purchase and Apple's check that the request comes from the genuine app. Neither contains your name or contact details, and we use them only to confirm the subscription.

App Store statistics

Apple gives developers summary statistics, such as download counts, and crash reports from people who have chosen to share them with developers in their device settings. These are anonymous and controlled by Apple's settings.

Children

Hummingword is designed for young children to enjoy with their families. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Purchases and settings sit behind a parental check.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If a change would mean collecting personal information, we'll ask first.
